  • Can I talk to a real person at Cosmos?

  • What is Cosmos? What are the benefits of using Cosmos?

    Cosmos is a place where you can bring people together to work, study and learn. Creators use Cosmos to create a supportive community where people can find like-minded peers to talk-live – hang out, study together, attend lectures, and receive 1:1 mentor support. Chat, voice, video and AI-powered tools all in one place.

    Communities of people are more engaged, stay motivated, and learn from each other to achieve better results.

  • Are there any limits on the number of people I can add to a space? Differences between roles: admins, members, guests?

    Admins can add as many people as they wish into a Cosmos space. Spaces have limits on the maximum number of online users present and the maximum number of participants in a call based on your payment plan. However, several calls can run in a space without any duration limits.

    For calling and space capacity limits, we count users regardless of their roles.

    Owners and Admins: Change floor plan, add/remove members and channels, personalise the space, and more.
    Members: Enter the space by themselves, call or message anyone, and kick guests.
    Guests: Depending on your space settings, guests can join directly or with knocking. They can also access public channels for chats.

  • Is there a free trial? How long is it? What happens when it ends? Do I need to add a card to start it?

    Our free plan is designed to let users experience all of Cosmos's features. Limits kick in when space usage starts to grow. It costs us money to offer calling and messaging, so we request that you pay. Our pricing is the lowest we can offer. All our paid plans come with a 14-day free trial and a card is required to start a trial of a paid plan. For all paid plans, our audio/video calling quality improves to HD.

  • What happens if people in my space go over the call limits?

    If the space reaches the capacity limit, new users won't be able to enter the space.

    If a call reaches participant limit, extra participants will be restricted from seeing others, or any screenshares. They will be able to talk to others on the call. The call proceeds normally for those participants below the limit.

    Admins will be notified that their space is reaching limits, but we won't charge or auto-upgrade you.

  • What happens to my recordings and Cosmos replays on downgrading from a higher to lower plan or free?

    On downgrading your recording call storage limits will reduce. If you hold more recordings in your storage than your limits, you'll be charged an overage at $15 for every 50 hours over the limit.

    When you downgrade your space to free, we'll hold the recordings for 15 days, during which you can download them. After 15 days, recordings will be permanently deleted.

  • How secure is Cosmos?

    Cosmos is a UK-based company committed to user data privacy and safety. We are GDPR and SOC II compliant and use AES-256 encryption for all video calls. Payments are handled securely through Stripe, which is PCI, SOC, and EMVCo secured. Explore our security centre for further details.

  • What are my payment options?

    You can pay via Stripe using card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and China UnionPay payments), Apple Pay or Google Pay. For wire transfers, contact support at support@cosmos.video.

  • Is there a discount for Education, Non-profits or Startups?

    Yes! We offer an additional 10% on our annual plans for schools, universities, non-profits and startups. Drop us a line at support@cosmos.video to request discount.

  • What happens if I change my plan midway through the billing cycle?

    If you change your plan midway through your billing cycle, the remaining prorated monthly/annual balance will be credited to your Cosmos account. We'd consume the credits and charge once all outstanding balance is cleared out.
