Before Cosmos, getting the whole remote thing right was tricky. We were all set up at our homes, trying to figure out how to make two new team members feel welcome without ever meeting them face to face. We used to mix office days with home days, so going full remote was a bit of a shock to the system, you know?
So, we found Cosmos, and it was like setting up shop in a new space where everyone could just pop over to chat, just like in our real office. My boss even threw some fun into our digital space – like, if you see her avatar by a Christmas tree in Cosmos, it’s her way of saying she’s out walking her dog. We each picked our spots in this digital office, and it’s kind of funny how we still stick to our favourite corners, just like we did back at the physical office.
The real game changer with Cosmos was how it cut down on the hassle of schedules and links for meetings. Need to ask something quick? Just head over to someone’s desk in Cosmos. This way, things get sorted fast, and we stay on top of stuff better. For the new folks, it wasn’t just about getting to know the work; they got a real feel of who we are as a team through our digital office vibes.
Now, we’re even thinking of bringing clients into our Cosmos space, just making sure it feels right first. It’s more than just meetings for us here; it’s where we hang out, get things done, and have a bit of fun. And honestly, getting to dodge the usual technical hiccups and having a space where our team actually feels like a team again? That’s been huge for us.
