# Snake on Cosmos Video

Snake is a multiplayer version of the classic Nokia phone game. Every player spawns as a differently colored snake on the same map, eats apples to grow longer and score points, and tries to avoid crashing into other snakes or their own tail. Cosmos Video runs it as a built-in multiplayer game for 2 or more players. Teams use it for team-building because it is instantly recognizable, easy to learn, and generates real last-snake-standing drama.

The game runs inside a Cosmos Video space with no external app or install. A host opens a game room, players join with cameras and microphones on, and Cosmos Video handles the shared map, player colors, apple spawns, and scoring. Because the match plays over live video, the trash talk and celebrations land the same way they would around a couch. It fits fully remote teams, hybrid groups, and any session that benefits from a quick burst of competitive energy.

## How to Play

1. Open a Cosmos Video game room and select Snake.
2. Each player spawns as a colored snake on the shared map.
3. Use arrow keys to move. Eat apples to grow and score points.
4. Avoid collisions with other snakes, walls, or your own body.
5. Last snake alive — or highest score when the timer ends — wins.

## Good For

- Team sizes: 2 to 10 players
- Quick energy breaks between meetings
- Friday team rituals and sprint wrap-ups
- Onboarding sessions that want a no-talk warm-up
- Morale boosters that do not require icebreaker questions

## Frequently Asked Questions

### How many players do you need?

Snake works with 2 players minimum and is best with 4 to 8. At that size the map gets interesting without becoming too crowded to maneuver. Larger groups can run tournament-style brackets using breakout rooms.

### Does it require any preparation?

No. The map, controls, apples, scoring, and color assignment are all built into Cosmos Video. Open a game room, pick Snake, and start the round — nothing to configure or install.

### Can remote teams play it?

Yes. Snake was built for distributed teams. Inputs and positions sync in real time across the shared map, and video and audio stay on so teammates can react together as snakes collide or grow to absurd lengths.

### Is it good for non-gamers?

Yes. The original Snake controls are simple — four directions, one objective — so non-gamers pick it up in under a minute. The multiplayer twist adds team social dynamics without adding complexity.
